Question:
I think you’ve transposed some letters. PB – BP – PB. 
The BP-E1 is only a battery pack and it has no vertical controls. There are also power boosters PB-E1 and PB-E2. I believe they both have vertical shutters and the -E2 adds extra buttons for Exposure comp, etc. – John

The BP-E1 does not. Do you mean the PB-E2? The PB-E2 does.

Is that the BP-E2 or the BP-E1 and have they even made a BP-E2. Perhaps he was thinking of the PB-E1 or the PB-E2. When will they make a PB-E3? I cannot imagine why anyone finds this PB and BP info confusing. P.B.

As previously mentioned, the BP-E1 is a battery pack only. The PB-E2 is the power drive booster for the EOS-3. The PB-E1 was for the EOS-1n. No… That was a grip that was put out by British Petroleum (BP). They ceased production recently… too oily a feel… Oh my God! -I’m turning into my DAD!!!!!!
